The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, also referred to as "Euro 2012" or "Euro Cup", is the 14th European Championship for national football teams sanctioned by the UEFA. The final tournament will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine, starting with the kick-off on 8 June and ending with the final football match on 1 July 2012.

The official Euro 2012 Football Championship broadcasting centre will be located at the Expo XXI International Center in Warsaw (Poland).

The football matches will be broadcasted live on TV by TVP In Poland and by NTU and TRK in Ukraine. Worldwide there are about 65 countries were Euro 2012 football matches will be broadcasted live on TV.

According to UEFA requirements, Telekomunikacja Polska is due to secure approximately 2x70 Gbit/sec data communication speed from the Polish football stadiums and 2x140 Gbit/sec between Poland and Ukraine. This is related to the fact that some live TV broadcasts of the Euro 2012 football matches are broadcasted in HD quality. The multilateral production will utilise 31 TV cameras to cover all the action on and around the pitch at every european football championship match, with extra live TV cameras (including helicopter TV cameras) servicing the activities around the game, such as football team arrivals at the stadiums in Poland and Ukraine, interviews, and EURO 2012 media conferences.

Early 2012 it was announced that Telekomunikacja Polska and Orange have successfully completed the first phase of the technology infrastructure and services to be provided during the European football championship by connecting both the European football championship stadiums in Poland and the International Broadcasting Centre in Warsaw (Poland). Within the technology partnership framework, Telekomunikacja Polska and Orange have provided a complete data communication solution which ensures connectivity among more than 20 locations in Poland (EURO 2012 host cities, european football championship stadiums, hotels for UEFA representatives) and between Poland and Ukraine.
